Mississippi Procurement Technical Assistance Program (MPTAP)

An important part of Mississippi’s economy is the procurement of commercial and government contracts for the state’s small businesses.

The Bid Bank provides equal opportunities for available contracts for small businesses, which can increase their competitiveness in the marketplace.

MPTAP helps businesses identify, compete for and win government contracts. Millions of dollars are awarded to Mississippi businesses through the technical assistance provided by counselors with the MPTAP.

MPTAP operates through MDA’s Minority & Small Business Division with funding supported by a cooperative agreement grant administered by the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency. Matching funds are provided by MDA, city and county governments, economic development organizations and private corporations.
